Michael (Mike) R. Duke
Principal
As the founder of Duke Financial and Insurance Strategies, Mike Duke is committed to simplifying the financial planning process for his clients. With a deep passion for building strong, lasting relationships, Mike works closely with individuals, families and closely held businesses to establish a solid financial foundation tailored to their unique goals. His firm is rooted in the belief that financial guidance should always align with the client’s best interest.
Mike is also a Financial Adviser with Eagle Strategies LLC, a Registered Investment Adviser. He partners with clients to understand their current goals and objectives, helping them design a personalized financial plan that brings clarity and direction amid life’s many challenges.
A graduate of the University of North Texas with a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Sciences, Mike began his career in the financial services industry in 1999 through the banking sector. In 2009, he transitioned to New York Life to expand his expertise and gain broader experience in financial planning strategies. Guided by unwavering integrity, Mike holds honor, compassion, and understanding as the core values of his practice. These principles, coupled with perseverance and exceptional mentorship, led to the creation of Duke Financial and Insurance Strategies.
Mike's desire to make a lasting impact in his clients’ lives fuels his dedication to comprehensive financial planning. "I'm a firm believer in building a strong foundation," he says. "If family income is disrupted, the financial consequences can be significant."
Beyond his professional life, Mike is deeply involved with his family and community. He volunteers at his church as a member of the Knights of Columbus and takes great pride in being a devoted husband and father to two, beautiful daughters. Together with his wife, Shannan, he works daily to grow and strengthen Duke Financial and Insurance Strategies.
Shannan Duke

Shannan has been working with Mike since 2013. Her background is Childcare and Administration, she uses both of these experiences to help with the day to day service and marketing for Duke Financial & Insurance Strategies. She ensures that daily business operations run smoothly and clients receive the attention they deserve. She is a strong supporter of Mike and Duke Financial & Insurance Strategies.
Shannan is originally from Mississippi and has been in North Texas for over 30 years, which is where she and Mike met. They have been happily married since 2001 with two beautiful girls. She is involved in her Church and is the Volunteer Coordinator for the yearly Fall Festival.
